Matthias Schwengler and Gero Schipmann bring together influences from seemingly opposing musical traditions, creating an acoustic soundscape unlike anything heard before, yet one that feels as though it has always existed.

During extensive travels throughout the Balkans, Matthias Schwengler immersed himself in the region's musical traditions, returning with a quarter-tone trumpet and a wealth of new inspirations. Following his jazz studies in Cologne and London, Gero Schipmann devoted himself to American folk and country music. Their paths crossed by chance at a big band concert in Nuremberg, a chance encounter that marked the beginning of a remarkable musical partnership.

As a duo, they began weaving their distinct musical backgrounds into a shared artistic language, discovering that the fusion of these styles possesses a rare sense of organic authenticity.
